You guys! I am both buzzing with excitement, and anxious enough to pee my pants a lil’. Because, WHOOPS… I totally started a podcast with one of my best buds, Beth of Tasty Yummies. Welcome to The So…Let’s Hang Out Podcast, folks! If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like if we decided to hang out in real life, this is kinda it. I’d consider this in the category of “Easy Listening”– but, there’s 99% less Kenny G (you’ll have to listen to this episode to get that 1%). In general, we will be talking about real life, food, love, garbage television, more real life, trends, more real life, gluten free living, and a myriad of other topics that get slightly awkward. Think of it as listening in on a conversation between best friends who just happen to be gluten-free. Just… ya know… hanging out. Now, with that haphazard intro, I give you the show notes for Episode One. I hope you enjoy!
You can listen to the file below, or find us on iTunes!
Gina confesses to being a truly ridiculous human being while sharing the story of her first kiss and the poetry she wrote about it. Oh, and that time that she dressed up like a member of the band TLC for Halloween. Because, you know… all the cool kids were doing it (they weren’t).
Beth accidentally lets it slip that she had a crush on her Aunt’s boyfriend (because, he had a horse—duh) and shares a story about a date night gone wrong with her now husband, Mark.
We share how awkward it is to start blogging, and how we both got off to a rocky start. Gina’s first blog post included SKEE-lo lyrics. Beth’s first blog post reads more like an apology.
We also discuss our tumultuous relationships with smoothie bowls and the ever so cunning watermelon cake trend—plus, we give you some tips on how to snack healthy throughout the week!
Thank you so much for hanging out! Have a question for us? Write to us here.
Like what you’ve listened to? Tell yer friends! It would also be great if you wanted to rate and review us on iTunes! Thanks, Friends!! You rule.

Is this on iTunes podcast? I’d love an easy way to listen/save/see them?!
Hey Jolaine! Yes,it is going to be on iTunes, but they have a submission and approval process. It should take anywhere between 24 hours or 10 days (it’s a big window). But, for now you can listen through this post, or there it a click through link in the beginning of the post to listen through Libsyn. Looking forward to iTunes happening too! 🙂
Thank you! Listening now 🙂
You girls crack me up! Listening to this while drinking my coffee and have almost spit it out at least 3 times so far. Can’t wait for more 🙂
Haha! Thanks, Gina. You’re the best.
I just found you. I felt like you were both in my kitchen having coffee with me. When the podcast ended my thought was, when are we getting together again and should I bring cake.
